Star Ocean Series Fan

I hear there's another game coming sometime in the future. Frankly, I hope it becomes the first game with a playable race that isn't just human with minor differences and a different name. It's something I feel like I should be used to by now, but... I'm really not. I just kind of wish there was something less human looking and more interesting. I mean, what are the odds that if we do find alien life on other planets that they look almost exactly like us except with long ears or a tail or wings?
